About Domus Fidei

OUR PURPOSE

A house for the treasures of the Faith.

Domus Fidei — House of Faith — is being created as a free, carefully organised library dedicated to traditional Catholic prayer, doctrine, liturgy and devotion.

Why this library exists

Traditional prayers and teachings can be scattered across old books, archives and separate websites. Our aim is to bring trustworthy resources together so that a person can find a prayer, learn its meaning, and return to the sources without unnecessary searching.

Our scope

The library focuses on traditional Catholic sources and practices, especially those associated with the Roman tradition before the Second Vatican Council. Historical context matters: we will identify editions and dates, and will not imply that every custom or discipline was universal or unchanged throughout Church history.

Our editorial principles

  • Faithfulness to authentic Catholic sources.
  • Clear citations and source editions.
  • A distinction between doctrine, theological opinion, historical discipline and private devotion.
  • Free access to prayers and educational resources wherever possible.
  • Respect for copyright and the work of authors and translators.

Support the library

When donation facilities are established, contributions will be entirely voluntary. Prayers and core educational resources will remain freely accessible. We will clearly explain who receives donations and how they are used.
